67 Radio ????
HI got a 67 model verified by VIN, and the radio does not work. Of course there are tons of radios aftermarket for 68 and up. I will look for original at some point just to have, but right now I would like an aftermarket radio so I can cruise around here some tunes
What have you other 67 owners done for radios ?? I do not want to cut the dash thanks

Yeah, please don't cut the dash. I eventually find original 67 radios and use them but I like to keep things original.

Re: 67 Radio ????
Might not look the greatest but for a temporary solution you could mount something under the dash - they used to make plastic boxes that a modern radio would fit in..........it was easier for me to put a modern radio in mine since its a 68 - I cut and modified an extra bezel i had and just bent the tabs in........

Re: 67 Radio ????
I thinking about sending mine off to a place in tennesse that does conversions on these. they put new guts in them for am-fm and other updates. neat deal but cost over $300.00 just for the basic conversion.

Re: 67 Radio ????
whats the best way to get it out? I'm thinking remove the glove box liner and send it out that way, hate to remove the three heater cables. or maybe remove the ash tray? the defrost hoses wont be a problem.

I think this is a great option. Not much will change for technology (other than iPhone cables ), but the look of an original radio is timeless.gjack3xxx wrote:thanks all, I saw a a couple places online that will rebuild my radio and upgrade it, guess I will go that route. Re: 67 Radio ????
I just sent my 68 am to r&b vintage auto radio in Tennessee. The full conversion is around 735.00.
It will have bluetooth, hands free calling, voice control and auxiliary in and USB port and hd radio as well. Check out his YouTube videos on the radios he's done.

I no longer have the 67 radios. Were sold a couple years ago.
