I have an older guy that is of course a "Mr. chevy" he is always bringing up what he calls a "dog leg" that is on the exhaust valve on ford heads? does anyone know what the heck he istalking about? and if so what is its purpose? also any fire to throw his way about crappy chevy design would be welcome
I'm not positive, but a "dog Leg" refers to an odd angle. So whatever is bent at a sharp/wierd angle, would probably be what he is referring to. As for a crappy chevy design... just tell him chevys are poopy!

Its a part of the casting. And from what I understand not easily overcome by simple grinding away at the casting in the port. What he is talking about is performance upgrades most likely. It's a lot easier to modify certain other makes and types of heads is probably what he is saying.
