EFI 300 6 in place of a tired FE

Post by Dodgeman »

My kids and I are putting a EFI 300 6 in a '72 F250 4x4. We are bumping the upper intake into the firewall. Do the mounts need to move forward or the firewall move back (ie. dented)?

dont quote me but i think the engine mounts need to be moved forward. The FE/300 used the same engine stands i believe but they were just in different spots
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

The mounts move forward. No need to mod the firewall.

I don't very often approve of swapping out a venerable FE, but this is one swap that I like.
