300 six piston question
Hi, I have searched the forums and did not find this info. If I missed it, sorry. I have built many V8 propane engines for trucks and towing but never a 300 six. I never run less than 11.0 to 1 actual compression ratio. Propane is 112 to 116 octane. My question is: are there any good options for high compression pistons for a 300 six? I am a hobby machinist with decent equipment and can mill piston tops, etc. but I can find no conclusive info. I have heard rumors of people using 351W or 390 FE pistons with mods. I am having trouble finding specs on piston compression height. Any info will help. Thanks!

re: 300 six piston question
I used Ross Forged Pistons. They make them for 300.
1968 F100 Took the running 390 out, and installed a Built 300 with AOD.
