After a simple green soak and pressure washed then a oven cleaner bath and 2nd spray. 03 HE341 and CR ex manifold 93 stock, 03 common rail and an 01 manifold.
2001 is supposed to flow the best for a stocker but we'll c what fits the best when it's stuffed in there. Options r good to have.
Sorry, not a class anything car. Just a beefy 5 seat sandcar that is functional but is not finished like all of my projects. Turbo 2.5sti and a built bus box.

Still collecting parts and have head off the engine, 60lbs valve springs, new seals and making sure its straight. New main and rod bearings going in with a complete gasket set. Sold the ve pump and converting to a p pump. So far only progress is making room in the truck to start the firewall modifications once engine is back together. Also mounted the 01 dodge hydroboost unit this weekend using a new 1/4in plate and original mounting bracket together. Still have some pedal/pushrods mods and adapting the brake lines but its mounted.
Saturn5 that's funny I had an 84 mustang with the 2.3t was a fun car till I blew the turbo and head took a crap. Put it back together but it never ran the same. Sold it for 400 bucks, the money I put into a new turbo!
Reason we picked that turbo is to eventually run a compound setup. Slowly but surely.
Crucial part picked up, governor weights for a diesel 47RH trans to convert the gasser version I have. Have to order my valve seals and then I can send my head down to the machine shop when those show up seeing that the wrong ones come with the genuine cummins gasket sets.
I know....just more parts but its still exciting. I did some trading with one of my buddies again and got my set of Cage radius arms back with brackets and heims. If you've followed the thread a few pages back there was some pics of the whole setup, but this is all I'm using from that stuff and going to run coil overs. Of course after its all running again. Too many goals on the same vehicle ends up in a longer down time as we all know.
This guy is a little crazy...in a good way. But i dont think he worked his firewall over to hard. Long thread and its a 74 but might be worth looking through.

Nice 4bt swap you have going there. Can't wait to c some mileage results.
Hopefully get the show on the road soon, picked up valve seals and just going to put the engine back together with new rod and main bearings using a new set of new head bolts instead of studs. Funding is slow. So some of the extras will have to wait till its a driver again. Picked up my 7.3 intercooler and cut the holes in the radiator support and still have to finish mounting provisions.
Also decided to scrap the auto trans and picked up a ford Zf6 2wd so I can keep my divorced 205. Figure a clutch is cheaper than a tranny rebuild every couple of yrs the way I drive. Should cruise at some nice low rpm's when it's all together
All I can say is I have been doing a lot of measuring and reading up on a lot of these conversions gathering info and ideas and feeling that bumpside bug again!
Yep 4 sure, I can't wait to foot that bill! Also been pondering building my own adapter plate as a cost effective option, won't b as pretty as destroked's product but would work.
Have decided on a 2003 f250 superduty radiator to accompany the 2002 intercooler. There has been quite a bit of trimming but overall is fitting great. Still have to fab up the mounts and re brace the radiator support In a few spots. Eventually I will fab an entire radiator support from scratch with everything already placed. Just barely clears the ps box and clearing under the hood as its pretty tall. Also have the hood latch feature figured out in my head, so that will be in the works soon also. Might have some of the engine sealed up this weekend. Just depends on time, working graveyard wears me out!
After looking and measuring I decided to move the radiator a little further down and also trimmed a little more rad support to bring the intercooler closer to the rad thus giving me sufficient room for an ac condenser of a good size fitting behind the grill and inserts with no trimming other than the upper valance.
Messed with the hood latch, I'm using all the parts from an 06 dodge. Need to move the latch up about an inch from where it sits and still mount the striker and safety latch deal under the hood but I'm gonna wait till I have the front clip all lined up and straight again to make anything permanent. This will have the in cab cable release also, something I've wanted for a while.
