My blue 72

Hey guys, New member here but long time reader. Ive decide to post up my little 72.I guess this is a ranger, there was nothing on it that I could find to tell me. Im the second owner of this truck and it has been in Az its whole life which may help out on not having alot of the rust issues.Im going to get started on fixin her up some.My oldest son is really bugging me about getting started.
If the times were better I would do a complete restore. For now I would really like to take the gas tank out
from behind the seat and put one between the rails in the back. I want to add disc brakes, Add A.C, New motor and tranny, Paint, Interior and wheels and tires.
I would really like to here from you guys on the best set ups for these things. Im am by no means a mechanic. I am a welder by trade so I can do some of the fabrication and repairs.

As for your "how-to" questions, go to the respective forum catagories and use the search function. You will find modifications and repairs of all kinds. A number of us have done the motor swap, disc swap, mustang gas tank install etc.
Also up toward the top of the "Forums" page, you will see a "Tech/Tutorials" link that has information on suspension, disc brakes, etc.

Nice Bump! I think it's GREAT that your Children are excited about the "Old Truck". The bonding that will happen as you all collectively work on the truck will bring joy at the moment and memories that will last a lifetime.
