how much was the buffer and stand ?

Sorry that pic is a little deceiving.... I already had the 6" buffer just needed the stand. But I did look at their 6" buffer/grinder and they had 2 for $39.99 and another one for $49.99 I paid $24.99 for the stand.

You guys are just jealous!!!! But no really Thanks! I've worked really hard to have my own space, I grew up in a large family (small house) and you never could just have your own room or keep everybody’s stuff separate. Now I don't have that problem anymore.

Not yet.......... one is 10 & the other is 4 and they both love my Truck & the Mopar. I hope they will want to be involved as they get older. Right now they like to help around the shop & keep it picked up for me....... just wish I could get them to do that in their rooms.

Hydraulic pipe bender, up to 2" works very well. Cement mixer that you have to give a hand spin to start, underpowered, but once going does the job. Table saw,(crap), took it back and bought a craftsman.
My wife keeps telling me, "you get what you pay for." Some other stuff over the years, most works ok.
If it has a motor I started buying it elsewhere.

One thing I really like about Harbor Freight is... the coupons! They always have great coupon deals, sometimes 20% off any purchase, sometimes coupons for little free stuff- currently its a 3.5" LED flashlight.

yep for my $$$ Northern Tool is still where it's at, but it is nice to know I can get stuff local, quick, & cheep when needed.

I hope it's not too late. We have one at work and both "ends" of it are trash: the handle, and the chuck. Then again if you're willing to spend as much on a good chuck and replace the handle knobs with something that stays it's probably a good start.

I think that's the thing with many of these tools---you buy a Delta drill press and it's the same Chinese crap. So get something from HF knowing you may have to tweak it a bit, and make sure you do some test projects so you know how the tool will let you down.

Northern Tool is a little more expensive (very little) but far better tools. As far as what I will buy from eather store, hand tools and consumables (ratchets are still junk). Anything that takes electricity is pretty much junk in my book. Although the Hobart 250ci plasma cutter with on-board compressor http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/ ... _200336604was a great investment and has already saved me many pounding headaches over using a grinder, the most I can say about that is Hobart is a decent name in welding.

2x 4.5" grinders (only one paid for) junk . Replaced with Porter Cable .
1x 7" grinder that didn't make it through the first job. Yet to be replaced.
2x 3/8" chuck electric drills (only one paid for) junk . Replaced with DeWalt .

I forgot about my 12" planner. Used the heck out of it over the past 11yrs. with no problems. Got it at Harbor Fright. Ok, so I guess some things with a motor are ok, from the place.

When I worked in the Shipyard I would buy my safety glasses from harbor freight. 1.50 a pair. They are a great buy.

I bought the paint sprayer cleaning brushes to clean out the orfices in my carb. they worked great!

strut and spring compressors broke the first time i tried using them. very unsafe and not worth the money.

I do buy the big packs of jersey gloves there for the community service workers at the cemetery. They usually are a good price. Although I got a pack of 24 pair at the local Home Depot for like $5.99 if my memory is serving me right.

I got some screwdrivers (actually won them as an attendance prize) and they've been ok for a $5 set of screwdrivers. I learned one thing though; you CAN NOT beat on them like a chisel. My craftsman screwdrivers I can beat on all day, but these explode their handles on impact.
