Plenty more work to do, but thanks for the motivation. I am going to assemble the front of the engine so I can get the 3G Alternator and Power Steering Pump mocked up. Spent a little time on the daily doing some needed maintenance.

Got some more cleaning done. Managed to make a fairly large pile of scrap going now. Also got the center top portion of my old core support cut out. I am going to graft it into my 78 core support.

Paul, congrats on the milestone! That's gotta feel great!
Hey, did you build the gantry/block and tackle frame for lifting the cab, yourself?

Harbor Freight, my new home away from home
That's good to know - someday I'll need that kind of gear to take the truck apart.

I like HF, you just have to look at what you are buying. They have the super cheap and useless tools as well as inexpensive good tools. I have an engine crane, engine stand, floor jack, the gantry crane and chain fall. I use all of them and they work great. I have also bought jack stands there but never the recalled ones.

Got some more of my hoarded parts cleaned. I was looking at the axles and realized I only had half of the U-Joint U-Bolts ready to go. I found my container of spares and dumped then in the EVAPO Rust for cleaning. Next is the flipping of the Front Axle U-Bolts. I went to the swap meet in PA and found a set of U-Bolts and Plates.

I found EvapoRust just before starting this latest project - I love what it does for our old, rusted bits and bobs!
It sounds like I need to start searching out swap meets, too

I have the last U-Bolt in the evaporust solution now. Hoping it is cleaned up in the next day or two. Then hoping to get them installed this weekend!
