1970 F250 4X4 Rebuild / Updating

I am really trying to make progress.

Got a little done, installed the rear driveshaft. Also worked on getting the doors moved so i can start working on them.

I did get the doors moved so they are accessible. No other updates as I am tied up with work stuff, ugh. Next I think I am going to pull out the old wiring so I can start running the Painless Harness.

Pulled out the core support so I can start modifying the 78 core with the top center sections of the 70.

So instead of cutting the core support, I added the missing hole for the Hood Latch. I started cleaning the core support for paint and managed to kill my cordless drill . So found a new drill on evilbay and now I am going sandblast the core support prior to Paint.

Got back from Norway last night. I am going to play in the garage tomorrow and get something done! Hope everyone has some time to work on their trucks too!

I am pulling out the sandblaster to clean up the core support for painting. I think I will do the inner fenders at the same time. Would love to get the Core Support and Fender Wells installed for mock-up.

Came out great after blasting it.

So I spent some time in the garage and portable garage cleaning. Back at it again tomorrow. I also found my core support mounts, but I need to make the metal sleeves.

Started working on the core support mounts. Found that I was missing one of my inserts, so I had to make one. I will post some pictures tomorrow of the finished product.

Got the Core Support Bushing Sleeves modified.

Got the mounts installed, worked out great. Had to actually make some bolts by welding oversize nuts onto some allthread. Worked great, now they are long enough to shim if need to align the inner fenders. With the new mounts and core support in place there is plenty of clearance between the steering box the core support. Pictures coming soon.
