1970 F250 4X4 Rebuild / Updating

Well I am still at the cleaning stage. I haven't been able to finish the shed repair since it has rained every weekend so far. I spent time in the garage building two replacement walls for the Shed so maybe I can get the rest of the stuff out of my garage.

The wife and I spent the long weekend working on the shed. We ended up removing the whole back wall and leveling the floor. It was three long days and walls are up and the new roof is on. Now we still have to finish the siding a d shingling. The weather was terrible with storms each evening. The plus side is there will be a much tighter building with more storage!

Now we just need to finish it so I can move all the stuff out of the garage and back into the storage shed! I miss working on my TRUCK!

Today we finished the shingling. Tomorrow I hope to get the door done then I can start cleaning out the garage and get back to the truck.

Sunday was a day away from working in the yard. The wife and I spent some time together while not working.

So the shed is closed in and roof is done. I am going to finish the front now and paint it. Have to install some shelving and get a bunch of stuff out of the garage. Need to get back to work on the cab so I can get it set on the frame.

Took a ten day trip out to Minnesota to see family and check out the possibility of retiring there! It was awesome, we were south east of Minneapolis a great area. Now I have to get my but in gear and get to work.

I am going to install the window air conditioner in the garage this evening so I can get to cleaning and going through parts on hand. Once I get the mess cleaned up I really want to get the floor of the cab done and the bottom painted. Then I can get to work on the inside!

So installed the AC in the garage. Got about 1.5hrs in this morning before I had to call it quits. Still too damn hot to work in the garage. Thank goodness I had the Fan and AC though as I was able to get quite a bit done. Managed to find more parts, set of Front Brake Drums, Spindle and hubs for a 44HD Axle. Also found another lookout hub I didn't know was there.

So I was able to install the new front door on the shed but the original hardware was rusted. I have had a bottle of evaporust sitting around so I figured why not. I have to say I was floored by how good it works. They sat in there overnight and a quick rinse with water and air dry straight to paint. The finish was very surprising. I just dropped the hinges in the solution with no prep, pulled them out the next day. Rinse and paint.

No updates on the truck. We did go up to the Truck Show at Carlisle in PA. It was a good show and we picked up a couple of small things. Spent the last two weekends working on the yard and doing other things. Looks like I will be waiting for crummy weather to be able to work on the truck again.

I have been out in the garage working to get my space back. Making a run the scrap yard tomorrow to get rid of a bunch of metal. Then back to cleaning and finishing my Parts Cart build. Pictures to follow.

Had to make a trip to Mass. for family stuff. Hope to add some pics tonight of the side project.
