Wiper motor or wiring?

My 67 f100 never had working wipers. The wiring for a lot of stuff was dry rotted but a good amount worked minus the brakes, reverse lights, wipers, and radio which I think was crap anyway. My question is, how do I know if my wiper motor is bad or if its the wiring. By the way the truck is ALL apart but I want to get the cab together for the frame.

check the fuse. make sure the fuse has power coming out of it. check to make sure the wiper switch has power going into it. make sure it has power coming out of it. if it does then it could be the park adjustment inside of the wiper motor. if you have no power going out of the switch then the switch is bad.

No fuse for the wipers... they have an internal circuit breaker in the switch.

Do you have the wiper motor out of the truck and want to bench test it, or is it still in the truck and you want to test it there?

Its out of the truck. But I want to make sure I know what the problem is so I don't throw a bad part in there and have to replace it once its all together. What a pain.

I want to bench test it for sure. Just want to make sure I do it right so I get the proper results.

Ok, Use the picture/diagram for reference:

On the motor;
Hook the White/orange striped wire and the Black/white striped wire together.
Then hook the Red wire to Battery 12V positive (leave it hooked up).
Hook a Ground wire from the motor case to the Battery ground.

Then If you hook the blue wire to the battery 12V positive the motor will be in high speed, once you disconnect this blue wire the motor should continue to run until it reaches the "Park" position and then stop.
Then you can take and hook the White/orange wire with the Black/white striped wire to the 12V positive and the motor will be in Low speed, once you disconnect these wires the motor should continue to run until it reaches the "Park" position and then stop.
If all that works then your motor is good and your problem is in the switch or wiring to the switch, use the diagram to check power in and out of the switch to find the problem.

Can anyone help out with my attempt at bench testing this motor?
Also what to do with the white wire?
It’s not called out above
My orange white striped wire had some sort of resistor attached
To it but I lost it

I don’t believe I grounded to the motor casing very well
I created leads for the blue and red wires
