Finally got my build sheet

Post by Heavenlyfire »

 This is funny. I am wondering if it was the right vin even lol.

Born on 9/26/70 in Kansas City

Came with a 360 2v, 131# wheel base, white exterior, green interior trim, foam seat, GVW 6100 Lbs, ammeter & oil pressure gauges, auto tranny, 3.73:1 limited slip rear end,8 X 16.5 tires, LH outside mirror, am radio, extra cooling package, front spring option, and rear spring option.

The underlined items have been changed, imagine that lol. Now it has a 460 4v, white-black-green- and blue interior trim lol, 31" tires on 15" rims, and I have no clue what that "extra cooling package" is suppose to be :hmm: . Oh and the radio is an aftermarket of coarse, that doesn't work :x .

That build sheet is pretty neat... If you add all the DSO codes and stuff in the remarks section, they'll tell you all that info as well.

It is a real cool piece of paper to put with your truck paperwork.

I have the build sheet for my 76 F150 4x4 and it shows the extra cooling package also. My stock radiator was a 3 core type. I wonder if that is the difference? Maybe that and a larger clutch type fan?

You know, I've never really read any details about what the 'extra cooling package' consisted of, but I guess I've always assumed it meant a larger radiator (in physical dimensions and/or core numbers). I'll do some poking around and see if I can dig up some hard facts on this.

It takes a long time, but four months seems like a really long time. I guess they are getting overwhelmed by all the orders placed on 67-72 trucks.

The extra cooling package also included a fan shroud...forgot to mention that earlier.
