What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to post some pictures for a classified ad put it just shows the URl. I followed keiths step by step but still managed to make it not work. So what dumb thing did I do wrong?

I fixed the links in your post. Yes, you were following my tutorial correctly, in that the link had to have the 'img' tags on each side of a link that started with 'http' and ended with '.jpg'....however, apparently Photobucket's links work differently. The links you were posting were for a webpage, not the image itself. Whenever you want an image to show up, you have to find out what the absolute URL is....and the only way of doing that is to right-click on the image and choose 'Properties'. You'll get a small pop-up window with the images properties, including the 'Address (URL)'. Just copy that and paste it between the 'img' tags, and it'll show up.

...unless the site hosting the image doesn't allow hot-linking.

in photo bucket you have 3 different links for each pic, use the botton link and then you don't have to change anything
