Brakes
Help me stop. I have a 67 with a 390 and swapped in 60's from a 78-79 F-350. The front has the monster dual piston calipers and drums in the rear. I far as I can tell the booster and MC are stock I think. Do I totally need to revamp this system or can I get it to work. My vaccum line is coming out of the booster and going to my intake. Any insight would be appreciated. I NEED to have this truck trail ready in 3 months.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Like above said plus you'll also need the front brake lines for the disks or get new ones if their rotted, and with that D60 HP you'll be needing to shorten your front driveshaft.
I had to do some custom hardline bending when I installed the Proportioning valve on my frame along with drilling an additional mounting hole for it, was a nice snug fit but looks like it belongs.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

re: Brakes
Thanks guys. I bled everything this weekend and I have brakes but they are just not all there. I can stop but not like it should. I don't think that the previous owner put a prop. valve in.
However when I do push in on the brakes I get a little splooge out of the top of the MC. Just a little runs over. Will follow all the lines and check them again and add the prop. valve this next weekend.
Thanks again.

re: Brakes
Has anyone here used there 67 booster and MC and swapped to bigger axles and if so what did you do to get your brakes to work properly?

re: Brakes
I kept my smaller diameter booster I had to fit next to the valve cover but switched out to the proper MC. Running D60 front and rear no probs.

re: Brakes
So what years are you using 460Crew?
Are you running the thinner(early model) booster and a bigger(later model) MC, and with what year pedal assembly?
Also really dig the flat black and did you fab that bumper or do you have any info on where you got it? That is something next on my list.
Thanks,
Erick

re: Brakes
I believe the booster was off a 69 f250 and it is 8in by 4.5in. The Mc is a 78-79 4wd F250 part. The 78-79 booster is too lager in diameter to fit next to the valve cover, another reason I plan to upgrade to a hydro setup when the funds are around. Here is a pic of the current setup.
On the bumper I had a local fab shop build it after giving them some printouts of some bumpers I found on the internet of ppls rigs and ones to buy , then gave them some of my guidelines such as only halfway up the grill where I was going to mount lights and some other stuff and it pretty much came out the way I had thought it out in my head. His price was 700 when all was said and done. I'm sure if you were interested in a copy of it or something he would be less on price and I could ship it to you. Just a thought.
